According to Smitha Mundasad (BBC News), a new knee ligament has been discovered. The knee joint is a complicated one, with many with ligaments and fibrous bands running through it. It has been found at the side of the knee, where it might have been the cause of fractures, which were misdiagnosed originally. It will be able to help doctors further understand and treat ailments of the knee, as well as improving surgical outcomes.
